After last Monday's debacle against Kansas, the Baylor Bears (13-6, 3-3) had a shot at Big Monday…
Comeback Against Colorado
Whatever Scott Drew said during the break must have been effective, with the Bears going on a 9-2 run to open the second half. Baylor proceeded to narrow the gap to 44-42, but the Buffs were able to widen the gap once again with 11:35 remaining. For the next 8 minutes the two teams would trade blows, with Baylor slowly chipping away at the lead. Finally, with just under 3 minutes remaining, Dunn put the Bears up 58-57. A.J. Walton connected for three on the next possession, giving the Bears a 4 point lead. As Baylor began to pull away, Colorado had no choice but to foul. Luckily for Baylor, they had no choice to foul Dunn, who hit 6 free throws in the final 17 seconds.
Dunn led the Bears in scoring with 26 points on the day. Freshman Perry Jones added in 14 and Quincy Acy came in with 13 off the bench. The Bears once again struggled taking care of the ball, committing 18 turnovers in the game. As ugly as it was, the Bears showed a lot of heart in a game where it looked like they were completely out of it.
The Bears head to Norman, where they'll face off with the struggling Oklahoma Sooners on Tuesday at 6:00.
