With 6:31 remaining in Tuesday night's game, LaceDarius Dunn became all-time career scoring leader in Baylor history, sliding past Terry Teagle to claim the top spot in the record book. Dunn led the Baylor Bears (17-8, 6-5) past NAIA opponent Wayland Baptist 64-50.
Dunn opened the game with a 3-point basket to get the Bears off to an early lead. After an AJ Walton layup, Wayland Baptist pulled ahead after a Johnny Terra 3-pointer to lead 6-5. The Bears would reclaim the lead on the next possession and would never look back. Though Dunn was just limited to 5 points in the first half, freshman standout

carried the load for the Bears, scoring 13 points in the first half.
Baylor
built up a sizable lead and went to halftime leading 38-24.
As has been the case for much of the year, the Bears came out in the second half and went cold offensively. Baylor only scored 6 points in the opening 8 minutes of the second half, allowing Wayland to claw their way back into the game. By the second media break, the Bears' lead had been cut to 7 points. Following a pair of
Fred Ellis
free throws, the Bears held WBU scoreless for the next 5 minutes and extended their lead. With only a couple of minutes remaining, Coach Scott Drew pulled the starters and allowed the second team to close out the game.
Dunn finished the game with 17 points, placing him atop the scoring list with 2,196. He's now 61 points away from passing

's

as the Big 12's career scoring leader.
The Bears will square off with Texas Tech this Saturday at 7:00 in Waco.
