Player Spotlight: Luke Burleson
Burleson came to Baylor as an under-rated offensive lineman from a great high school football program in Allen High School. He had offers from Tulane, Wake Forest, Kansas, and UTEP, but chose to play for Art Briles and the Baylor Bears as part of the Class of 2010. Burleson has taken advantage of the strength and conditioning program under the direction of Kaz Kazadi at Baylor University. Entering the 2012 season, Burleson measures out at 6'6" and 305 pounds.
Burleson plays strong and is another prototype offensive lineman for Art Briles and his offense. The talented offensive lineman saw time in one game last season against Rice, and must stay healthy to see significant playing time on an extremely talented offensive line for Baylor this season. Burleson has the size to be a solid player in the Big 12 at offensive tackle or along the interior offensive line at guard, but his breakout season may be a few years away. He must work hard to crack the depth chart this season.
