Sources close to the recruitment of Scout.com three-star prospect Dimarya Mixon confirmed on Sunday night that he has officially de-committed from Arizona State.

The 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive end from West Mesquite High originally made his commitment to play for ASU on 5-10-12.

Mixon has been on official visits to Oklahoma, Arizona State and West Virginia. All have offered to go along with offers from schools like Missouri, Baylor, Kansas State, Washington State and a host of others.

Mixon has expressed interest to decline to do any recruiting interviews until after the West Mesquite season has finished, so that he can help focus on a playoff run and state championship aspirations.

Currently the Wranglers are 7-2 and with a 5-1 district record they have already clinched a playoff birth and have won the last 5-of-6.
