Henyon Will Attend TCU-KSU Game

Trinity Valley quarterback Austin Henyon will be among the many prospects at the TCU-Kansas State game on Saturday.

TCU hosts #2 Kansas State this weekend and at the same time several high school prospects will be in attendance.

Among those players is Trinity Valley quarterback Austin Henyon. The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder comes from TCU bloodlines with both of his parents being graduates of the school. Henyon says the communication between he and the staff has remained constant.

"Things are going well! I've been talking with Coach Burns and Coach Patterson. Glad to get to see the game this week," he said. "I've been talking to Colorado State, Kansas State, Nevada the most. Then some others; like Vanderbilt, Georgetown, and the Ivy's."

What has Coach Burns told him?

"He says I'm in the hunt for an offer. He just said to be patient, keep working, and they'll make a decision sometime soon," Henyon said. "He's been congratulating me on my season with a very young team and been in contact with me often."

Henyon is still looking for his first offer but most schools are telling him to remain patient. In the meantime he's scheduling visits to see different programs.

"All the schools that I am talking to are telling me to hang in there and let the process work and that they are watching me," he said. "I'm setting up visits now to get out to some games soon."

The gunslinger already has a couple of games in mind that he'll attend the next few weeks.

"I'm deciding between Nevada vs. Boise State or Kansas State vs. Texas on December 1st. Then Colorado State vs. New Mexico on November 24th," he finished.
