Video: Football Interviews 11/27

Geno Smith

The emotion of Senior Day is tempered at least in some part for Geno Smith, as the quarterback knows he has a future in professional football to look forward to. Still, he was a bit more reflective than usual at Tuesday night's interview availability with reporters.

Running backs coach Robert Gillespie discussed Shawne Alston's production in last week's win at Iowa State and what the veteran presence of Alston and Ryan Clarke has done to help things in his meeting room.

Offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson recapped the Iowa State win, offered his thoughts on Kansas' red zone defense and discussed how the play-calling philosophy changes as WVU gets closer to the goal line.

Despite Dana Holgorsen's deadpan joke earlier Tuesday, Alston indicated he had no ill effects from his significant workload against the Cyclones and discussed his feelings heading into Senior Day. Recommended Stories
