Kansas suffered one of the most shocking upsets in the history of the Big 12 Conference and the Bill Self era, Wednesday night, as they fell 62-55 to the TCU Horned Frogs at Fort Worth's Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The win marked the first ever Big 12 win for TCU.

The loss gives the Jayhawks (19-3, 7-2) a second consecutive loss for the first time since losing back to back to Missouri and Kansas State during the 2005-06 season. They will next head to Norman, to face Oklahoma, Saturday afternoon, looking to avoid three straight losses for the first time since the 2004-05 season, when they lost to Texas Tech, Iowa State and Oklahoma.

Against the Horned Frogs (10-12, 1-9), the struggles reached historic proportions, as Kansas only managed 13 points in the half, marking the lowest in a half since the 1988-89 season. The next closest was an 18 point performance against Iowa State in 1999.

Still, the Jayhawks only trailed 22-13 at the half, struggled get anything going in the second half, falling behind as much as 37-21 with under 12 minutes remaining.

One of the main culprits was the fact that Kansas shot just 18-61 from the field for 30%. They were also 3-22 from beyond the arc. Guard Ben McLemore led the team with 15 points, while Jeff Withey added 12 and pulled down eight rebounds. Guard Naadir Tharpe came off the bench and scored 11, while trying to shoot the Jayhawks back into the game.

The Horned Frogs were too much down the stretch, though, as Kansas could only cut the lead to as close as four, before free throws distance the two teams.
