Former Baylor All-American, Pierre Jackson was selected 42nd in the 2013 NBA draft held Thursday night at the Barclays Arena in Brooklyn, NY. Jackson is the Bears fourth draft pick in the last two years, which is tied for the most in the Big 12 over that stretch.

Jackson was originally chosen by the Philadelphia 76ers, but it reportedly involved in a trade that will send him to the New Orleans Pelicans. The Las Vegas native leaves Baylor as the single season leader in points scored and consecutive games with a 3-pointer made. He led the Bears to the 2013 NIT Championship most recently after a successful two year career at Baylor.
