Reporting offers from Michigan State, UAB, Colorado, and Mississippi, Baylor commit Ernest Smith says his committment to Baylor is strong and will be signing come Feb. 1st.

Smith feels that he is a balanced receiver.
"I can catch, I can block, and I can run."

Smith felt like his season "went real good, despite the Katrina incident."

So what one statistic or play stuck out for Smith from last year?
"I ran a fade route into the endzone and scored," Smith explained.

Smith reports he is 6'4" and weighs in at 200 pounds, but explains that he was clocked at 4.41 (40 time) at the Nike Camp. So what was it about Baylor that led Smith to commit?

"Football isn't everything. Baylor has good academics, but they are also an upcoming football program. I hope to be a main player to turn things around." Recommended Stories
