Chris Tate is a 6-0 180 pound athlete out of Hempstead High School in Hempstead, Texas. He currently holds offers from Baylor and Houston. Tate admits that Baylor is his leader, but he has not yet committed.

Tate explains that he likes Baylor becuase it "is a good school".

"I want to go to a good school and get a good education."

Coach Hays is recruiting Tate and Tate feels that Coach Hays "is a good coach."

Tate thinks that the new offense Baylor has implemented is "pretty good", and also explains that they run the same offense at his high school.

Tate is not looking to spend his freshman year redshirting, but rather wants to play right away.

Tate was a 2nd team all-district selection last year.
