Bears Get Commit #15

The Baylor Bears are keeping the recruting trend going. They picked up their 15th commit today, this time getting a great athlete on the defensive side of the ball. Check inside BearsIllustrated.com to find out who.

Justin Johnson is a gifted athlete who plays for Richardson Berkner. The 6-1 210 pound quarterback for the Rams will play safety in college. He gave his pledge to the Bears today.

Playing quarterback for his high school team, Johnson racked up 1,500 yards rushing and 350 yards passing for 27 total touchdowns. He chose Baylor after receiving many scholarship offers including Wake Forest, Mississippi State, and UNLV.

Recently, Johnson described his abilities. Johnson describes the best part of his game as his will to win. He added "the very moment I step on the field, I play hard every second." Even so, he realizes there will be an adjustment to college football, saying that "getting used to everything being faster, getting used to the speed of the game" will be the biggest adjustment.
