John Jones Decides

After taking trips to TCU and SMU over the weekend, John Jones has made his decision on Saturday evening as to what college he will attend. Will Baylor get the commitment from the 3-star offensive lineman? We have that answer for you inside. Come see what made the decision for John Jones a lot easier only inside

John Jones is a 6-5 300 pound offensive lineman from Cedar Hill, Texas. With offers from Baylor, Arizona, Arkansas, Houston, Kansas State, Tulane, and UTEP, Jones has been a very sought after lineman. Over the weekend he camped at TCU and SMU on Friday and Saturday, respectively. After his camp on Saturday, John Jones has made a decision on where it is he is going to college.

"Right now I have basically made my decision. It is Baylor. I am just waiting on making the call to Coach McGriff sometime tomorrow, no particular time, just whenever I get the chance."

So why Baylor?

"I think it was the comfort level. I didn't want to be too far from the house, I just wanted to be comfortable with the place that I was at. The coaches, the education, just everything. Out of all the scholarships, and out of all the schools, I feel Baylor is the school I am most comfortable with everything. I am ready to make that decision."

"My commitment is solid. I don't plan to change my commitment. That was why I went to all the camps and made some visits. I just wanted to make sure I was making the right decision."

Jones joins teammates Chris Francis and Romie Blaylock who have both given their verbal commitment to Baylor this summer. Jones is also the 19th commitment Baylor has received. Recommended Stories
