Jared Salubi, a soon-to-be senior at Waco High School, had a great junior season when he posted 1544 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns along with 111 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. Salubi gained District 16-4A MVP honors and honorable mention all-state helping lead the Waco Lions to a 13-3 record and a Class 4A state runner-up finish.

Standing 5'10 182 pounds with 4.5 speed, Salubi has been producing high numbers early in his prep career, posting over 1,000 all-purpose yards in his sophomore campaign. In a recent interview, Salubi explained his biggest stengths.

"My biggest strength is my vision, I can see the cutback lanes and hit them quick. I also have a good combination of power and speed. This off-season I am focusing on improving my blocking technique and getting even faster".

Arizona State, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State all showed interest in the two-sport athlete (track), but Salubi ended his recruitment by pledging to the hometown Baylor Bears.
