LIKES WHAT HE SEES AT BAYLOR

He performed well at the Scout.com combine in Valley Ranch in the spring. This summer, this Judson standout made a name for himslef picking up offers from Baylor and Mississippi State. See what prep star Anthony Moore has to say about his recent trip to Baylor, his immediate plans, and when he plans on making his commitment.

Anthony Moore is a standout defensive back from Converse Judson High School in Texas. The 6'2.5" 195 pound athlete showed good lateral quickness and start/stop speed at the Scout.com combine. He held his own in one-on-one drills later in the day. However, his best performances have come this summer at mini-camps. Moore attended the Baylor mini-camp on the Baylor University campus earlier this summer where he demonstrated both a positive attitude and a strong desire to improve play after play. His athletic ability was put to the test, and Moore did not disappoint.

"I think I performed very good. I think they liked my footwork and my attitude when we were doing one-on-ones. They liked how I was getting after all the other people at the camp."

Recently, Moore took a trip to the Baylor campus to check it out for himself. Moore liked what he saw.

"I liked Baylor a lot. I like all the new facilities that they are building. I like the head coach and what he has planned for the team. It also looks like the team is heading in the right direction, and it doesn't look like they are going to be the old Baylor."

The talented prep star also holds an offer from Mississippi State and plans to visit the Mississippi State campus this weekend. Anthony Moore talks about what factors he will consider before making his college decision.

"The coaching staff, the surroundings, and which school feels like home to me. I don't really care about how big the school is and who they play, it's just what feels right to me when I go there."

As for his timetable on when he plans on making a decision? "I am not going to wait until the end of the year. It will be more toward the beginning of the season, or right after our preseason games in our open week."

Football is not the only important thing to Moore, as he is a star in the classroom as well.

"My parents push that education comes first. In the classroom, I make good grades. My GPA is a 3.5. My parents always keep on me to keep up my grades so my choices won't be limited based off of my grades."

Moore explained that he is fully qualified as he performed very well on his college entrance exam.

As the summer draws to a close, Moore is preparing to enter his final year of high school football. As his open week approaches, or perhaps sooner, all eyes will be on the Converse Judson standout to see if he is ready to call one lucky college his home.
