The Baylor Bears are headed to New York City to play in the NIT Semi-Finals. After outlasting the Auburn Tigers on their home court, Baylor gets to continue its season for one more week.

The Baylor Bears said all the right things after a tough conference season, but no one knew quite how serious they were. After knocking off Kansas and Texas in the conference tournament, and then Georgetown and Virginia Tech in the first two rounds of the NIT, the Bears had one more game before they could head out to New York City.

The Bears matchup on Tuesday night against the Auburn Tigers matched strength on strength. Both teams have quick guards who can light it up from the outside, but it was the Bears inside presence that got it done. Whether it was the strength of Kevin Rogers down low, or Lacedarius Dunn, Henry Dugat, or Curtis Jerrells driving it to the hole, Auburn didn't have a way to stop the Bears inside the paint.

The Bears will now head to New York City to play in the NIT semi-finals for the first time in the program's history. Look for the renewed Baylor team to keep up the intensity as they seek their new ultimate goal - an NIT Championship.
